Finally a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG weekend...

It seemed like it would never get here and now Saturday is gone...
Today we went and bought Owen some summer clothes for next year at Children's Place. We also to a stroll by the house we would have been living in had they not lied about the flood zone. I am so thankful it fell through and we are here. Owen got another hair cut today and he did so good! The guy was able to edge around his ears and the back of his neck. It started off really bad, but I shushed him and life was good.

For dinner tonight we went and ate Mexican and it is so funny to see Owen chowing down. He LOVES the cheese dip...he will dip the chip in the cheese sauce and suck off the cheese. He also ate beans and rice...needless to say he had a lovely diaper once we go home.

On our way home we decided to go to the playground and Owen was ready to "ride". He had a blast playing on the play equipment and being a boy. We got back home, ate a Popsicle, and washed all the funk off of him.

Tony and I decided this past week that we are going to change Owen's daycare. I have called around and I think we are going to go with The Gardner School. Now the trick is how long will we be on the waiting list? I would like for him to start in August of 2009, but I thinking it might be a little longer. So, please say a prayer that it's Gods plan for Owen to be at TGS. Check it out if you like...http://www.thegardnerschool.com/

Here are some pics from today...

Enjoy!

♥ Monkey ♥

Owen is such a busy body! I have to wonder why I am not 90lbs. as much as we do on a daily basis. We pretty much stay outside. This morning he woke up at 4:30 AM, not PM so I brought him into our bed thinking he would go back to sleep. YEAH RIGHT. We got up at 5:15, Tony had to go to work, and that just left the two of us. All we did all day was play outside.

See for yourself...

Well, this one was from last night.

On our way for our morning stroll...

When we got back Owen had to stay outside and play/touch everything...

Ummmm HELLO, we need everyone to know we are protected by Brinks...Not Owen :)

Toodles my love,

Millions of Prayers

As I sit here at work I am in tears. My family CANNOT stay healthy. Owen was sick this weekend with a horrible cough, but seemed OK. Last night was rough...he woke up A LOT, I got little sleep, brought him into our bed, and about 2:00am I got woken up by the bed shaking. Tony was freezing...100.7* fever and not feeling good.

He stayed home today, vomited, and went to the doctor. He has a viral infection which is contagious!!! I DO NOT want to get this nor does Owen need to get it. I swear I just can't catch a break.

I am so stressed and this makes me worry...will Owen get it, will I get it...did Tony touch something? I will be sick from all the stress. I am going to get some Lysol before we go home & I am going to spray EVERYTHING. I am sleeping on the floor in Owen's room and PRAY to God that we are safe. I can't take another sick person, let alone my Monkey.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE say a million prayers that Owen & I don't get this bug. I am so darn scared...

Animal Love

Yesterday we headed to the Wilson County Fair for about an hour :). That's all I could take and Owen too. The only thing we really did was see the animals and boy was Owen amazed. He wanted to touch every little thing there. The sights were amazing (people), the aroma was something else (food yummy...stinky people, NASTY), but all-in-all we had a great time.

Yesterday Tony was doing some work on his car in the garage and Owen really had a fab time playing with all the things he shouldn't be playing with. But hey, curious little boys need to explore...right? I think he would sleep out there if I would let him.

Oh well, I am off to get ready for the day while monkey is asleep.

I'm Back...

It has been a while since I have blogged, but there is no better time than now. We are settled in out new house and love it out here. My neighbor is great and everyone around us is just like *us* :). The house is slowly getting organized but there is still a lot of furniture to purchase. I am sure we will be doing that soon. Starting off with a flat screen TV for our bedroom.

Owen seems to always get whatever bug that's going around and this weekend is no different. He has a horrible cough and the poor child couldn't sleep last night. I do everything so healthy and he can't seem to catch a break. I breastfed till he self weaned 3 weeks ago, he eats nothing but organic foods, drinks organic milk/juices, takes a multivitamin daily, and also gets probiotics everyday. What am I doing wrong?
Owen loves the new house and his favorite thing to do is go "side" Needless to say we spend ALL of our free time "side" He loves being in the garage and it doesn't matter if it's 118* outside, we are out there sweating.

Owen has a fond love for these satin pillow cases my Nanny made. She only slept on them and when she passed I had to have them. I *USE* to sleep on one every night, but Owen has to have one everywhere he does. We have even had to take in into the tub with us. I only have 4 and I wash them everyday. He sucks his thumb and pulls the pillow case up by his nose. He drags it everywhere. I know no matter where we go we have to have the blankie with us.

Today we are going to the fair and I am pretty excited about it. I hope Owen really enjoys it. I will post pics tomorrow.

I am back to work and it is really weird without Barbara (teaching partner for the past 3 years) not there. I like my new position in the 7th grade, but I can't pinpoint why I love it up there so much. It could be because I am all alone and no one bothers me, I'm in denial that Barbabra is gone, or I like teaching 1 prep. I do like the fact that no one bothers me...but I sure do miss my Barbara. We would eat lunch together daily, chat, and talk about our "issues". We were family for 3 years and now she is gone. Do you get that I am sad and missing her? However, this year since we would not be working together I have vowed that during my lunch & planning I would get everything taken care of and I would NOT take anything home with me. So far I am doing pretty good.

The other day while I was home with Owen he got into my cabinet and pulled out the Q-tips. They were all over the house. He really enjoyed playing with them. I am still finding Q-tips in random spots.

Well, I am off to get some things done around the house while Monkey is asleep. I will post tomorrow.
